Coon is a brand of Australian cheese, a mild tasty to be exact, manufactured by the global giant Kraft Foods.

It is Australia's biggest selling cheese. It is available in 100 g, 250 g, 500 g, and 1 kg blocks. It tastes inoffensive and cheesy, in an Aunty Mabel and Uncle Ernie kind of way. Goes well with train sets, you might say.

It bears noting, however, that the word coon is also a highly offensive and derogatory Australian term for aborigine, as in, ah, ya bloody coon bastard, go back to where ya bloody came from.

Heard all too often in polite Coon-munching society.
