The remains of a glorious battle of automobile versus nature. The definition fo nature here can apply to nearly any living creature in the world. Normally, when people refer to road pizza, they're talking about a squirrel or a dog that wandered into a lane of traffic and was hit by a car. But, being the son-in-law of a Chicago Police Hommicide Detective, I've heard the term used for human beings as well.

To graduate from roadkill to being road pizza, there has to be a decent amount of gore and mess left behind. A simple run-over cat does not apply. Part of the internal organs of the creature must be not only out of their intended position, but need be squeezed out an oriface. One of the most interesting situations is if it's lunch has been squeezed back out it's throat.
