  • To vanish.

  • To turn an enemy (or "enemy", since many hadn't done a damn thing) into an unperson. A popular pastime invented by dictators in Argentina and Chile, back in the 70's. Life imitates art, though I doubt Pinochet or Videla had read much Orwell.
