1909-. A concert pianist, actor, philanthropist, and comedian. Born Børge Rosenbaum, he fled his native Denmark for New York during WWII, and established a multifaceted US career, usually combining humor and music. A version of his "spoken punctuation" routine - in which one speaks the periods, commas, etc, of a sentence via appropriate noises - introduced him to a new generation of fans on The Electric Company.
