1984 Thomas Dolby album, the follow up to The Age of Wireless. Intensely underrated, this is one of the true gems of 1980s rock. Excellent bass guitar from Matthew Seligman.

Best known for the MTV hit "Hyperactive", but the rest of the album is completely different, with incredibly thoughtful lyrics, intense imagery, lush production and Dolby in probably his best singing voice I've ever heard.

None of Dolby's other albums come lose to The Flat Earth in terms of quality.
