Isn't it odd the way language changes?

Look at the things our parents said when they were children: Groovy, Far out.

Look at the things we said when we were in school: Awesome, Cool.

Look at the things being said in Boston right now: Ghetto, wicked.

Language is such a strange thing!!

When Clueless comes on, for example, it takes most of my concentration to understand the meaning behind the half-empty sentences. This goes also for the Shakspearean plays which have been changed into movie format. So what is this saying about out culture?

It seems to me that this trend of uncomprehensibleness means that we are reverting. That's right, reverting to Hamlet times, Elizabethan english, old style sentence structure.

Beware.
