The Olympic mountains reach just under 8000 feet. They are located on the Olympic peninsula, NW of Olympia, W of Seattle. From Seattle, the entire eastern range can be seen on a sunny day. From left to right, the major mountains visible are Mt Ellinor, Mt Washington, Mt Jupiter, The Brothers, Mt Anderson and Mt Constance.
The highest mountain in the range is in about the center of the cluster, Mt Olympus.

These are >very< wet mountains, more so on the west than elsewhere, with the Hoh rain vally possessing some of the darkest, deepest green old-growth you have ever seen. Goats and Cougars live here.
