Stop motion animation (idea)

A special effects technique using miniature models and a still camera. The models are moved ever so slightly for each frame shot. The frames are then shown in order to give the appearance of movement. Some classic examples include:

Clash of the Titans
10,000,000 BC
Jason and the Argonauts.

Note that claymation is a common variant of this technique.
