Dick Wilson was the spokesperson for Charmin
Toilet Tissue from 1977 - Present. His famous line "Please don't
squeeze the Charmin!" Wilson appeared in over 175 commercials spanning two decades.
In a 1978 poll, Dick Wilson (aka. Mister Whipple) was ranked the third most well known American. Wilson was behind Richard Nixon and The Reverend Billy Graham.
While Whipple won't tell you, I think he was related to the guy that did the Dunkin' Donuts Commercials. Remember? Time to make the donuts! But that's a whole other node.
