If one has a fairly flat driveway with little surface resistance, such as one paved with tar or flat stones, one can enjoy this homemade sport.

Simply obtain one or more bowling balls (the heavier the better, as increased mass is helpful in combating the drag of the driveway surface), ten bowling pins (usually available from an alley at a nominal cost, $10 in my case, but ymmv), a driveway, and several friends.

How many people does it take to play this game? I've found that 3 is a good minimum. One person plays, while the other two alternate roles of setting up the pins and catching the ball (this position was at first overlooked by yours truly, causing a substantial dent in the garage door).

As you may have guessed, this is an excellent party game. Add alcohol to taste.
