Everyone else is doing it (idea)

Typically the very reason not to do something. One can never go wrong with non-conformity in the face of peer pressure. If everyone else is doing it, then it shouldn't be too hard to find a good reason not to do it. Especially with teenagers, who are notorious for participating in activities with said argument as the best support for a derisive or damaging engagement.
