Branch of the
sacral plexus that
innervates the skin of the
penis and
scrotum in the male, and skin of the
clitoris,
labia majora,
labia minora, and lower vagina in the female, as well as the muscles of the
perineum.
The pudendal nerve has the spinal components of S2-S4 (sacral vertebrae 2, 3, and 4, for the non-biologist).
Basically, this is a very important nerve.
