I don't know what your religious beliefs are, but me, I'm devoutly agnostic.
I would never rule out the possibility of one or more gods, but as far as I can tell, the main reason to believe in them is that the world is such an incredible, beautiful and above all complicated place that surely something must have created it.
But this just doesn't make sense to me.
I mean OK the universe is incredible and the scientific view relies on so many coincidences that it seems impossible, but this can all be brushed aside by saying:
"If it didn't happen, I wouldn't be sat here writing about it!"
Besides, what is more incredible? The universe, in all it's glorious beauty, or an all powerful, omni-present being capable of creating such a universe?!?
Anyway, these questions that religion deals with are far too important to just take somebodies word for it. That goes for prophets too. Who says they're prophets? They do!
