Sagana Sri Gaura-mahima
"e'lo gaura-rasa-nadi kadambini ha'ye"

by Srila Locana dasa Thakura

(1)
e'lo gaura-rasa-nadi kadambini ha'ye
bhasaila gaudadesa premavrsti diye

The river of gaura-rasa has come as a clid bank and flooded the land of Gauda [Western Bengal] with a shower of love.

(2)
nityananda-raya tahe maruta sahaya
yañha nahi premavrst tañha la'ye yaha

Sriman Nityananda Raya, as the helping wind, carries that cloud bank to any place that remains bereft of its shower of love.

(3)
hud hud-sabde aila sri advaita candra
jala-rasadhara tahe raya-ramananda

The thundering sound of that cloud is Srimad Advaita Acarya, and Srila Ramananda Raya is its shower in the form of a stream of rasa.

(4)
causatti mahanta aila meghe sobha kari'
sri rupa-sanatana tahe haila vijuri

Sixty-four great saints have beautified that cloud, with Srila Rupa Gosvami and Srila Sanatana Gosvami as its lightning.

(5)
krsnadasa kaviraja rasera bhandari
yatane takhila prema hemakumbha bhari'

Srila Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami [the author of Sri Caitanya-caritamrta] is the storekeeper of that rasa (flowing mellows of love), carefully conserving the prema in a golden pot.

(6)
ebe sei prema la'ye jagajane dila
e dasa locan-bhagye bindu na milila

Now taking that prema, he [Srila Krsnadasa Kaviraja] has distributed it to the entire world, but Locana dasa's destiny is such that he is unable to obtain a single drop of it.
