Billing itself as a "
fetish and
goth/
industrial dance party" and using the slogan "don't be afraid of our love," Bound is a club held in a few cities, mostly on the
East Coast of the
U.S.. At various times Bound has been held (often weekly) in
Baltimore,
Washington DC,
Hartford,
New Haven,
New York City,
Philadelphia, and
Richmond. Bound has also been held in a few
European countries, but those seem to have closed down, as have some of the U.S. locations.
Bound started in Washington DC in April 1997. It has changed venues a few times since then, but continues to hold annual events and offer space to vendors of fetish gear. Currently, the club permits 18-year-olds to enter (with proper ID) but you must be 21 to drink. While not specifically a gay bar, Bound welcomes any sexual orientation - it's a safe place for gay couples to go.
