This parody of "Desiderata" appeared as a track on the 1972 comedy album, National Lampoon Radio Dinner. Tony Hendra wrote the words, and the music was composed by Christopher Guest. On the album, the piece was performed by Norman Rose, with backing vocals by Melissa Manchester. The lyrics were also included in the 1976 National Lampoon Songbook.
