The Rosetta Disk is a part of the Rosetta Project, whose aim is to preserve languages. The disk is a physical archive of many languages. They use a fascinatingly simple solution to the problems of long-term data storage. Instead of digitally encoding the language data, the pages are optically etched onto a nickel disk. Thus, regardless of the technology used, almost any human can read the disk given some means of magnification.
