ml.org (thing)

ml.org was the address of Monolith, an organization which provided free DNS service and (sub)domains. For example, people too cheap to get a REAL domain such as thecult.com or lilo.com could get thecult.ml.org or lilo.dyn.ml.org, though the latter case represents someone who not only couldn't get a real domain, but couldn't get a real connection with a static IP either. Unfortunately, ml.org is now defunct, but dyndns.org has partially replaced them.
