Coffee absorbs more
caffeine the longer it's in contact with the
coffee grounds. so,
slow-drip coffee has quite a lot of caffeine in it, since it's in contact with the grounds for a few minutes.
However, the water used to make espresso is only in contact with the grounds for 20 seconds. therefore, espresso is a fairly low-level caffienated drink, albeit a strongly flavored one.
