Among the greatest drummers in 90's rock, Matt Cameron is best known as the drummer from Seattle Grunge band Soundgarden. Currently the drummer for Pearl Jam, Cameron also played the drums for Temple of the Dog, the pre-PJ combo band led by Chris Cornell. Originally the drummer for a band called Feedback (later renamed Skin Yard), Matt also recorded the album Hater with Ben Shepherd (also of Soundgarden) and some friends in 1993. In 1997, when the group disbanded, Cameron took a break from music until Pearl Jam needed a drummer. His first recording with them was Live on Two Legs, and he also recorded Binaural with them, actually penning one track on the album himself.

2005 update: Cameron is still Pearl Jam's drummer, and has increasingly become a part of the musical and vocal writing in the group.
