blahedo

Hi. I'm Don "blahedo" Blaheta. I'm a 21 y.o. grad student at Brown University, in the PhD program for computer science, with an interest in computational linguistics. My interest actually extends to linguistics in general--especially phonology--.and even to creative linguistics, aka conlanging. Also, auxlanging (Esperanto and esp. Novial).
I'm a proud Mac owner (ok, Starmax 4160; used to be LC, which I gave to my sister, who still uses it--with an Imagewriter my dad bought in 198.5!) Lately, I've been using it to dialup and play CivII. I'm a perl hacker, and a proud owner of a PalmIII, which is about the neatest thing since sliced bread. I like Nomic, though I've dropped out of Agora.
I like reading a lot, esp. .fantasy/sci-fi. My favorite author tends to be the one who wrote the book I read last; most recently, Terry Pratchett).
My musical tastes are pretty eclectic: my favourite band is They Might Be Giants, but coming in close second is Enya.
