Evidence that basically says the suspect was in the right place at the right time, but not conclusive. Example: The defendant had dinner at the mansion the same night the pendant was reported missing. The next day, he was seen leaving the pawn shop where it later turned up.

This is generally the weakest kind of evidence there is, and not something that can get a conviction without some hard evidence to back it up, such as a receipt from the pawnbroker in the suspect's possession for received diamonds.
