The Moon Festival was a small, local
Dallas,
Texas band that released two albums.
The band often uses rather
pop sounding music, but the vocals are quite the opposite. The songs usually carry a
bitter tone with deep
sarcasm. Some other great songs carry a sort of depression, that somehow one can sing to. Wonderful sounds, and a pity that this band ever fell. Most speculation is that the brothers were continously fighting, and that led to the seperation.
The band was disbanded soon after their third album,
Sugar Pill. But around 1999,
Salim Nourallah organized a new group,
The Happiness Factor, which continues much of the style of The Moon Festival.
