Queen of Cups (idea)

Represents the watery part of water. A woman who reflects the nature of the observer, dreamy, tranquil, poetic, imaginative, kind yet not willing to take much trouble for another. She is much affected by surrounding influences, therefore more dependent than most other cards on good or ill dignity.

My thoughts:

This card has come up a lot for me lately, representing the past. I see it as representing the reflective nature of the way we see the past -- what we see is what we choose to see. More positively, the idea that the past can change as our perspective changes. It also describes one of my ex-girlfriends.
