A town on the Greek island of Rhodes (Rodos), details of which can be found at http://www.helios.gr/rhodes/ Supposed to be nice and warm for most of the year, and the town now survives by concentrating more or less exclusively on tourists.

On a hill overlooking the town are the ruins of an Acropolis, along with what's left of the "castle of the Knights". Very narrow streets and closely-packed houses mean that cars are not practical, which makes a pleasant change. :-)

Not entirely unrelated to this, it's also where I'm going on holiday this year (and now I'll have to change this node after I've actually been, oh well).
