My name is Arthur. It's a pleasure to captivate your audience.
I 'm a white bourgeois from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania -- the real capital of the United States. I attend the William Penn Charter School, an old Quaker establishment in a northern district of the city, and look forward to attending New College of Florida after this upcoming summer. I enjoy reading and writing poetry, studying theology, ontology, fashion and philosophy, and getting physical (parkour, soccer, boxing, snowboarding... I put shot for my track team). There's a lot more to me, but I don't feel like complicating this autobiographical blurb with too much crap.
My favorite way to acquaint myself with someone is to ask him (or her... of course) about his favorite -- and least favorite -- things. In hopes that this is a favorite method of yours, I will leave you with a telling list of favorites and least favorites:
Favorite Novel: "The Human Comedy" by William Saroyan Least Favorite Novel: I hate all bad literature equally, although I am known particularly for my hatred of "As I Lay Dying", by William Faulkner.
Favorite Poem: "Before Dawn," by Algernon Charles Swinburne Least Favorite Poem: Any piece by a Beatnik -- or Charles Bukowski
Favorite Philosophers: Sa'adia Gaon, Averroes, Niccolo Machiavelli, Baruch Spinoza, Christian von Wolff, Emanuel Swedenborg, Frithjof Schuon Least Favorite Philosophers: Plato, Plotinus, Soren Kierkegaard, Frederich Nietzsche, Jacques Derrida... and so many others...
Favorite Movie: Two way tie -- "Annie Hall" and "Circle of Iron" Least Favorite Movie: "Izo" (except for the part where Izo throws the huge rock at his mother's head -- that's fucking hilarious)
Favorite Fashion Designers (Pour Homme/Pour Femme): Gianfranco Ferre / Franck Sorbier Least Favorite Fashion Designers (Pour Homme/Pour Femme): Comme des Garcon / Yves Saint Laurent |
