The Gaians are a good all round faction in
SMAC. They tend towards a
builder style, rather than a
momentum style of play, and they lack
energy due to the aversion to free market. However, their efficiency bonus helps to make up for this, and the bonus to their
planet rating gives them the oppurtunity to overrun opponents with mindworms, especially if their opponents have choosed free market economics, which weakens their ability to defend against
psi attackers such as mindworms.
