Baldur's Gate II character who was also with you in the original
Baldur's Gate. Edwin is the best
mage in the game
hands down. Too bad he's
rotten to the core. But hey -
it might just be worth it. What Edwin's stats don't show you is he gets a number of extra
spells for
no apparent reason other than he's
one badass mofo.
Try him out - I think you'll like him unless you're attached to Diviniation spells (Clairvoyance, Detect Invisibiliy, True Seeing). As a Conjurer, Edwin can't use them.
Ah, one more point - if Minsc is in your party, you probably don't want Edwin. Edwin was plotting to murder Minsc's companion in BGI, and now that she's dead he spends a good deal of time rubbing it in. The two will even come to blows occasionally.
