Spin"ny (?), n.; pl. Spinnies (#). [OF. espinaye,espinoye, espinei, espanoi, F. 'epinaie, from L. spinetum a thicket of thorns, fr. spina a thorn. See Spine.]

A small thicket or grove with undergrowth; a clump of trees.
