A small town in Southeast
Kansas. The population is roughly 7000 people in town and surrounding areas. Iola is the county seat of Allen County, and it also is the location of the boyhood home of General Funston.
Iola has few real attractions, therefore the younger population turns to drugs and alcohol just for something to do. One of the epicenters of Iola is Ray's Conoco, home of the Swigger. The largest store in Iola is a mediocre Wal-Mart. Every young person who lives in Iola doesn't plan to stay, but more often than not they are unable to escape the Iola tractor beam.
