Bhakti Yoga is a wider phenomena than just its single manifestation in the Hare Krishna organisation, ISKCON. The Bhakti tradition is actually the yoga of devotional love, suited to those of an emotional disposition, where the practitioner fills him/herself with passionate love for God, or some other object of affection, (perhaps a teacher figure), and through the outpouring of love attains mystical realisation. Gurdjieff referred to this as "The Way of the Monk" - a path to higher consciousness through the development of the emotional centre.
