This sweet dish, also known as monkey bread, is so much fun to pull apart with your hands into sticky, misshapen blobs, then devour. Too bad the butter will clog your arteries. Hey... why not offer this as a conciliatory gift to someone with whom you have been arguing? With any luck, they will shorten their own lifespan willingly!

Ingredients:

  • 4 packages of refrigerated, ready-to-bake biscuit dough (10 biscuits per package)
  • 4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) butter

Preparation:

Grease a bundt cake pan. Mix the cinnamon and sugar together and put 3/4 cup of this mixture into a bag. Cut each (unbaked) biscuit into four pieces. Drop a few pieces at a time into the bag and shake it. Place the coated biscuit pieces into the bundt pan.

Melt the butter in a saucepan. Put the remaining cinnamon/sugar mixture into it and bring it to a boil, stirring constantly. Drizzle this over the biscuit pieces in the pan.

Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes. Cool slightly and flip it over onto a serving plate.
