The Quarrymen (minus John Lennon) reformed in 1997, with the same line-up as played the Woolton Village Fete the day Lennon met Paul McCartney. They released a CD of old skiffle and rock and roll songs under the name 'John Lennon's Original Quarrymen', and tour Beatles conventions.
Took their name from a line in the school song of Quarry Bank Grammar School which Lennon attended.
