A band from
Knoxville, Tennessee, which formed in the late 1980's, and released their first album,
Native Son, in 1991. They're best known for their third album, which received prolific air play,
Pain Makes You Beautiful. They broke up in 1995, after releasing four
albums. Their
music is often categorized as
alternative/
grunge, although I think they kind of stand out on their own (but I guess everyone says that about their favorite
bands).
Jeff Heiskell reformed the band in 2000, releasing the
Judybats '00 album.
