The bridge is the
command center of a
ship, usually elevated above the
deck. From here the
captain commands his vessel. The bridge contains
navigation, steerage and
propulsion control.
The part of a submarine recessed into the top of the conning tower. Only used in surface operartions, the bridge is covered when the boat submerges.
