Violence is a part of war, and also occurs with the advent of crime, it occours for many reasons, like religion, or a Jihad or Holy War, it usually ocours when two people with opinions disagree and really really want to be right, therefore they try to prove that they are right by killing the opposition. This is also how Pro-Life or Anti-abortion activists try to prove their point.
