Released in October of 1968, Electric Ladyland was Jimi Hendrix's third album, recorded with his band The Jimi Hendrix Experience. This would be Hendrix's last album with the Experience, and also his final studio album. Released to critical acclaim, Electric Ladyland reached the #1 spot during it's 37 week stay on the US charts.

Recorded at the Record Plant in New York City, Hendrix both directed and produced this double album.
