Ralph Kramden was a
character created by Jackie Gleason.
Ralph first appeared (if I recall right) on the Jackie Gleason Show. The characters from the popular
skit split off to create a new show called
The Honeymooners.
Ralph Kramden was a bus driver with big dreams and bigger pants. He was married to Alice (Audrey Meadows), and lived downstairs from his best friend Ed Norton (Art Carney) and Trixie (Joyce Randolph) in Brooklyn, NY. It is generally acknowledged that Ralph was the template for Fred Flintstone.
