The Big Bad of the
Micronauts universe of
toys, Baron Karza was introduced in
1977 with the rest of the Series II line. A giant figure in
black armor with glowing
red eyes, Karza's limbs were held on with magnets and he could launch his fists as missles.
(My favorite thing to do with him when I was a kid was replace one of his fists with a red buzzsaw from another figure. It looked totally bitchin'.)
In the Marvel Comics series based on the toys, Baron Karza was the evil dictator of Homeworld. His power grew from his position as Chief Scientist at the Body Banks, where poor folks bet their limbs and organs on games of chance while rich folks bought them in order to shore up their own creaky physiques. Karza was killed in issue #58.
