Collaboration between
Jim "Foetus" Thirlwell and
Roli Mosimann. This unfortunatelly short-lived band released two
EPs (
Motorslug and
Pedal to the Metal) and an album,
Dirtdish with accompanying 12" single
Stumbo.
The music of Wiseblood is Foetus at his best, honed to a sharp edge by Mosimann's unparrallelled feeling for production and soundscaping, even on an all-out-assault on the eardrums such as this.
The guitar riff on "Stumbo" (played by Norman Westberg of Swans, I think), is a classic and is sampled and used frequently in other songs, trailers etc.
