Used to play the bass in Cleveland bands System 56 and Lucky Pierre. Later he formed Hot Tin Roof with Greg Zydyk and releases records on his own Barbed Wire Records label.
Lash is also known for being an old friend (and former roommate) of Trent Reznor. According to one story, these two, and another friend of Trent's were hired by Martin Atkins when his band Brian Brain was playing in Cleveland. He needed a horn section! Amazingly enough, Atkins later said that this was the only time using local talent for the horn section came off. Lash commented this by saying "It was only because we rehearsed..."
Lash has obviously stayed in contact with Atkins, and has played with Pigface.
