A famous play by Samuel Beckett, originally written in french "En attendant Godot" and then translated into English by the author.

In it two men wait for a man named Godot, who never shows up.

The men are convinced that they need Godot's presence before they can act with any certainty.

This is the human condition as Beckett saw it: We are all just like these men, living in a state of perpetual anticipation, paralyzed because we have no definitive answers about the ultimate purpose of life.

Rather than make a mistake, we do nothing....option paralysis
