After many other rock titles have long since faded into obscurity, this one will long be remembered. It is full of sharp edged satire wrapped in folksy stride piano ballads. It's deceptively simple sounding. Underlying the simple melodies are subtle observations about American cultuer. This is his most low-key album, and perhaps his best.

For me the piece of resistance is the song "Political Science" which is at once subtle and hit-you-over-the-head-with-a-hammer ironic. Somehow Americans seem to lack understanding of other countries / cultures. They swim in American Culture and that's really all they know or think is important.
