The method of movement in the North American ballroom dance "Latin" dances. Instead of the very stiff, upright posture of the waltz and foxtrot, the Latin dances use a more sensual technique called Cuban motion. You bend the knees slightly, and also relax the shoulders and hips slightly. (You do not stick your butt way out, or else you won't be able to step properly.) As you move through the steps, you let your hips rock gently to one side and your ribcage to the other. The effect should be subtle and not overplayed. Proper weight transfer is key!
