NOTE: The Japanese do NOT observe Daylight Saving Time. This is why any statement of the form "The time in Japan is XXX hours ahead of the time in such-and-such a time zone in the USA" is wrong several months out of the year. Since such statements seem to be often used as the basis for time zone conversion in Internet clocks, take caution.
