Be this subjective or not, I have to say, the Lib Dems appear to have the most sensible policies out of all of the British political parties. Labour is too small-C conservative, the Conservatives are too big-C Conservative, the Greens (despite having fantastic aims) are about as likely to avert Armageddon as your local McDonald's workers and the BNP are essentially Nazis with pretty colours on their website. I mean, just look at the Lib Dem policies, you know it makes sense...

• A referendum on joining the Euro, and nothing but
• The abolition of tuition fees
• More public control in the railway and investment in public transport
• Abolish personal care costs for the elderly and the disabled
• Abolish charges for dental and eye checks
• Enlarge the EU
• Entitle 16-24 year olds to study leave and funding for higher education
• Recruit 6000 more police officers
• Initiate a moratorium on GM crops, and fines for those companies that cause the public harm with said crops
• Abolish car tax for less polluting vehicles
• Boost the state pension by up to £15
• More money for those on long term income support
• Extend winter fuel allowance to the disabled
• The installation of a true democracy
• Outlaw all discrimination, and reform the asylum system
• Extend freedom of information (I can hear the writers of Private Eye rubbing their hands with glee)
• Doorstep recycling for all
• Incentives to develop on brownfield sites
• 50p tax rate on income above £100,000 (yes! yes! GOOD THING!)
• Replace the Climate Change Levy with a Carbon Tax
• Phase out nuclear power

A while back the Conservatives advertised their "Common Sense" campaign. Looking at the above, the Lib Dems seem to have got Common Sense down to a "T", with sensible policies that don't focus on attracting the Daily Mail reading middle classes.

Or you could support a quiet right wing bald bloke with a cough. (UPDATE: Seems the above, considering certain events, is wrong. Oh well. What can I really say about Michael Howard?
