One of the
best computer games ever. You were the
immortal omnipresent mayor of a
city, and you had
full power over everything. You
had to lay out the
city and get enough
money from
taxes to keep going. There were
new inventions as time went on, all the way from
buses to
fusion power. Eventually you got
arcologys, which were these kick ass huge expensive buildings that
held like 50,000 - 200,000 people.
There were tons of
disasters, but the really good ones couldn't be activated on purpose. There was a way of
hacking the mac version to do it, so I got to see the rare
volcano,
mass flood,
mass riots, and
nuclear meltdown.
It also had lots of funny newspaper articles, many of which involved llamas.
