1931-41 painting, oil on canvas, by Ivan Albright, oblong, depicting a tall and narrow Victorian door, painted in mixed shades of dark brown/black and yellow, on which is hung an ornate funeral wreath (what look like a mixture of decaying, dark red roses and lilies, with two bands of material trailing off to the left towards to the doorknob). A little below halfway down the painting appears a feminine hand, grasping around the doorframe, bearing a signet ring and trailing a dark blue handkerchief. The door is warped and distorted, and several of the flowers seems to have fallen to the floor below.

As with many of Albright's paintings, the interpretation depends on the conjunction of the image and the title.
