Whitefish, MT is a tourist town in Northenwestern Montana, about 30 miles South of Glacier National Park. It also is right next to the Big Mountain and Whitefish Lake. While a tourist town, it is also fairly out of the way, and so not overly so. The atmosphere is not manufactured, the town actually is a typical small Montana town, as well as being a haven for ski bums, jack rastas and floating hippies.

Whitefish, in addition to being the gateway to Glacier National Park, is also a rail junction for Burlington Northern, and also home of the Great Northern Brewery (the largest building in town, and maker of Black Star beer).

A great place to visit.
