Alternative, and far more
apt, title for the closest thing we
British have to
Micro$oft -
British Telecom.
Rather similar to
M$ in the sense of being a vast,
anti-competitive and highly
monopolistic empire, rather dissimilar in the sense that they've never actually done anything remotely positive for their users other than to relieve them of as much
cash as they can and provide a service of very nearly the lowest
possible quality.
The icing on the cake is that they then produce awful
gooey TV adverts telling you how grateful you should be that you have no alternative.
